Poster and fundraising leaflet

 This A3 poster of a seal folds down into an A5 information leaflet with detachable response device. This is a major fundraising appeal for Advocates for Animals and is being distributed to all their supporters. Fulfilment was arranged so that everyone got a personalised appeal letter and a poster, nicely packaged up in an attractive C5 envelope.

Flyers for Scottish Socialist Party

 Just before the Scottish elections in 2003, I was approached by the Scottish Socialist Party to design a flyer specifically targetted at younger voters, outlining their policies in dealing with the drug problems in Scotland. A few days later they got six seats in the Scottish Parliament and a senior figure kindly said it was "the best political flyer I have ever seen".

 May Day is annual celebration throughout the world and I was asked to design the posters and flyers for Edinburgh's event in 2004. The guest speaker was Arthur Scargill so I chose an illustrative theme based around the demise of the mining industry, yet with a sense of dynamism that conveyed positivity for the future. I am a big fan of Russian artists of the 20th century such as El Lissitsky and Rodchenko and my design is influenced by their work.

 I was asked to do all the artwork for this annual summer festival for two years running. This included a run of eyecatching, informative posters, flyers and a programme of events.
